The Stanley Cup champions are coming to Nevada Sports Net.

The Vegas Golden Knights and NSN announced Thursday the network will air 75 games for free to residents throughout Northern Nevada.

NSN will televise the non-nationally exclusive Golden Knights games with full distribution free over the air with an antenna, on cable or with a satellite subscription. That includes 69 regular-season games and six preseason contests with all 75 streaming live on NevadaSportsNet.com. The preseason schedule starts Saturday against the San Jose Sharks.

It marks NSN’s largest package of games from one of the four traditional major professional sports leagues in the United States (NHL, MLB, NFL and NBA).

"Northern Nevada is an incredibly important market for the Vegas Golden Knights, and we couldn't be happier Scripps has partnered with Nevada Sports Net to bring free live games into the homes of fans across that market," Vegas Golden Knights president Kerry Bubolz said. “We know NSN is the go-to sports source in Northern Nevada and are thrilled Knights game will be available to all fans across the Silver State.”

The Vegas Golden Knights recently partnered with Scripps Sports on a multi-year deal to televise games throughout the mountain region. The Emmy Award-winning broadcast duo of Dave Goucher and Shane Hnidy will remain on the call for Scripps Sports games, which will air on NSN. The Golden Knights are the first professional sports team to reach a deal with Scripps Sports, which launched in December.

"We were thrilled when we learned about the opportunity to partner with Scripps Sports to bring Vegas Golden Knights games to fans in Northern Nevada,” said Amie Chapman, Vice President and General Manager of News 4, Fox 11 and Nevada Sports Net. “VGK has been a class organization from its inception, and after last season’s Stanley Cup championship run, the buzz for the Golden Knights continues to grow in this market. To televise more than 70 of their games is something we’re excited and proud of as we celebrate five years on air.”

The Golden Knights became the NHL’s 31st franchise in 2017-18 and was the most successful expansion team in North American professional history that year, reaching the Stanley Cup Final in their inaugural season. Last year, in the Knights’ sixth season of existence, the franchise won its first Stanley Cup, beating the Florida Panthers in five games.

“Bringing Vegas Golden Knights games to Nevada Sports Net will help elevate our live game broadcasts to the next level,” Anthony Resnick, NSN’s director of operations, said. “We’ve made great gains in that area during our first five years and are ecstatic to add VGK games to our portfolio of Nevada Wolf Pack, Reno Aces and high school sports broadcasts.”

In Northern Nevada, Nevada Sports Net is available over the air on channel 21; Charter channel 787 in HD or 7 in SD; DirecTV and Dish Network on channel 21; or on AT&T U-verse channel 1021 in HD or 21 in SD. Nevada Sports Net is available in the following counties: Washoe, Carson, Humboldt, Churchill, Pershing, Douglas, Lyon, Mineral, Lassen, Lander and Eureka. The channel also can be viewed for free with a television antenna.
