A silver Honda made a right turn without making a complete stop.

A silver SUV was caught traveling over the posted speed limit.

A red Ford pickup with a trailer crossed over the middle lane several times, running two vehicles off the road.

Those incidents in Florida were reported in different years — 2024, 2023 and 2022, respectively — but the result was the same: Domingo Xohip Huex was arrested for driving without a license and taken to jail.

The first in the series happened on the night of Nov. 7, 2022. A Lady Lake police officer wrote about performing a traffic stop, explaining the reason, and asking Xohip Huex for his license.

He “was provided with a Guatemala identification card,” according to the arrest report, and said he didn’t have a current Florida driver's license.

The computer showed he’d never been issued a Florida driver's license.

Xohip Huex was released after almost five hours in jail in lieu of $1,000 bond, and ended up paying a fine, court costs, and $100 towards the cost of his prosecution.

Eight months later, a similar story.

An officer caught him going 61 mph in a 45 mph zone on July 10, 2023.

Same Guatemalan ID. No valid license. Still never had one.

Xohip Huex was released after three hours in jail in lieu of $500 bond, and ended up paying the fine, court costs, and $100 towards the cost of his prosecution.

Now, less than seven months later, it happened again, but after a Fruitland Park police officer saw the right turn at a red light without a complete stop.

Late last Sunday, Feb. 4, the officer said Xohip Huex had a Guatemalan passport but no license or Florida identification card.

“I asked Suspect 1 if he has ever had a license or identification card,” the arrest report said, “to which he replied he did not.”

The report added, the car was left with his passengers “until a licensed driver was able to pick the vehicle up.”

This time, same charge.

He was released after four-and-a-half hours in jail in lieu of $500 bond.

Xohip Huex, 39, is scheduled to be arraigned on Feb. 27.
